Religious School welcomes children from kindergarten through confirmation. Held on Sunday mornings for grades K through bar/bat mitzvah, classes are taught by parent volunteers in small, intimate groups that encourage one-on-one attention. Each session is divided into two parts: one focused on Jewish studies, one on Hebrew.
Each Sunday at 9:30 am, the students and teachers gather in the sanctuary for a Havdalah service, since it is the first time we've seen each other since Shabbat. The rabbi leads songs, teaches a value-laden Hebrew phrase, and makes announcements. At 9:50 am the students and teachers report to their classrooms.
NOTE: There are no Religious School classes during the summer months, May-August.
