Your Jewish Home Away from Home

Beth El Congregation is like extended family in the Shenandoah Valley.

We celebrate holidays and happy occasions together. And we support each other during difficult times.

Most of the year, we are a small, informal group, dressing casually, speaking casually, laughing often – and caring passionately.

Join us as we enter a new era. We are delighted to share the news that Rabbi Peter Grumbacher has agreed to be our part-time interim rabbi through June of 2018! Our first year together has been one of great joy and humor, thoughtful and inspiring sermons, a sold-out second Seder, memorable b’nai mitzvah, a special confirmation service and so much more.

For the High Holy Days, we were delighted to welcome Rabbi Michael Kramer and Cantor Karen Webber to our pulpit to lead us in prayer and uplifting song.

Please come. Visit. Ask questions. We want you to feel free to participate at whatever level is comfortable for you.

When you visit a website there are many things you might be looking for.

Hopefully Beth El Congregation’s website has just what you need, and if you go beyond the website and visit us for a Shabbat service or other program, you’ll find a warm, welcoming group of people who are committed to their synagogue and its future.

If I can be of help, please let me know how. My email address is interimbethelrabbi@gmail.com.

Shalom – Peace – to you and for all the world!

Rabbi Peter H. Grumbacher
